LOREAL EXCELLENCE HAIR COLOR - LIGHT ASH BLONDE #B1

Great coverage for grey! I have to say that I am thrilled with the coverage of my grey hair, the quality of the colour, the scent of my hair afterwards, and the way the colouring left my hair soft and bouncy. I also liked the way that the colour was multi-dimensional. It wasn't one flat shade of brown. There were highlights and low lights...there was life to my otherwise original mousy brown hair...formerly dusted with grey. I really liked the addition of the pre-colouring hair serum to protect my hair. It was a novel idea and made me feel even better about colouring my hair. It made me feel as though they were taking an extra step to protect my hair and it was very nice of them. The colouring solution didn't burn my eyes with a strong amonia odor--it wasn't completely unpleasant as most are. There was no burning or itching. I think that is an absolute first for me. Hair colouring is often touted as being gentle, but this is the very first one that this is true for. The after colouring conditioner felt really thick and strong. I am sorry that I don't know how to say it better, but it felt as though it would do a great job conditioning my hair. The only problem/slight confusion came from the fact that the numbering of the bottle/tubes didn't match the printed instructions. The bottles used the old numbering system and the printed instruction sheet used the renumbered system that took into account the addition of the pre-conditioning treatment. The bottles/tubes were numbered pre 1 2 3 But were listed in the instructions as: 1 2 3 4 This was only a small thing, that I am sure will be corrected in the new release of the product. All in all, I thought that they L'Oreal had excellent grey coverage, didn't smell awful and left my hair well conditioned. I'm sold.
