I will take metal over plastic any day, so I was glad to find these cans. The only question I had was, for $ 35, how good would the can be. I was pleasantly surprised. While I initially thought it was a little hard to open, the blast of air that came out was strong enough to displace the gasket in the closure, which was simple to reset. I live at 5,000 feet elevation, and am assuming the pressure was related to it coming from a sea level altitude. Cause aside, it did serve to demonstrate the can could contain a respectable amount of pressure buildup. Physically, the sheet metal is thinner than the original Blitz cans, but these cans should be fine for storage purposes. I am not sure how comfortable I would be having It bouncing around in an ATV. The only thing that threw me was the insert that came with the can calls it an "Oil Drum" and not a "Gas Can".

Reasonable Quality

Even though the metal may not be as thick as the original Jerry Cans, it is sufficient and is NOT PLASTIC as is the material of choice of most fuel cans of today. These are of reasonable quality, sufficient structural sturdiness and satisfy my requirements. I would suggest that the slip-type seal connectors be greased (I use a silicon gel) because they a very tight (which is good) and need to be worked a bit. I also replace the gaskets that came with the spouts with ones I fab from a thinner gasket material (if you do this make sure the material is usable with gasoline and also check for leakage). Price is very reasonable, about half one would pay elsewhere.

Would/did buy again

These work great for my uses, no rust on the inside like some of the reviews say, cheaper than the plastic cans, no "saftey" spout, you can transport them in your car with no gas smell, and they make a "pfftt" sound when you open them.
