This works amazing compared to these "new" style cans with the vent built into the spout, rather than the rear. Gas pour is smooth and easy, while the metal design has already paid off as it has withstood some rough roads and weather compared to my plastic gas cans that cracked. It does have a lip on the bottom, so it doesnt sit flat. Also, the pour spout is detached from the can, so I used bailing wire to tie it to the handle when storing. The spout does not fit the capless gas tanks, so the standard adapter is needed. The rubber gaskets pop out of the storage lid after traveling to different altitudes (i went from 7000 to 9000ft), and it was difficult to open initially after the trip due to pressure change, but that happens to anything pressure sealed.

Good quality!

The can is made well , the spout is a little bit hard to get it to seal by hand. had to use a screwdriver Phillips head,but it does seal . i hope it will be good for many years to come. it would be better if there is some type of handle to pull leverage on the top and spout to seal it easily.

Great can for long-term fuel storage

Item is far better than plastic gas cans. Spout can be a bit tricky to assemble if you're unfamiliar with what to do. Foam gasket is not attached to spout to ensure you don't drop/lose/misplace it by mistake or you won't be able to lock the spout in place. Spout can also be a bit awkward to store when not in use and detached from can.
