Engine Cooling Fan Clutch Fits select: 1968-1979 CHEVROLET C10, 1976-1979 FORD F150

Put this fan clutch on my 86 Chevy P30 Bounder motorhome with a 454 engine works great! Original GM clutch fan started giving trouble - not disengaging properly at 55,000 miles so I bought an AC Delco ADO-15-4949 more expensive, good name, but only lasted 200 miles. With the AC Delco I slowed down for traffic - RV engine 'dog house' heat sinks - fan kicks in as usual (typically for about 15 seconds) but the new ACDelco - IT WOULD NOT DISENGAGE, limped 20 miles to campground sounding like a turbo jet, bought this Derale/US motor works part, and has worked perfectly for the last 500 miles, only kicking in when the heat builds up in the doghouse at slow down after highway speeds. I did use a cork inside the clutch bore to keep the metal adapter sleeve that centers the clutch on the smaller diameter short water pump stub; also used self locking 5/16 flange grade 8 nuts on the water pump studs as this clutch has slots, and I also cut and rezip tied the fan shroud on the bottom to allow changing without moving the radiator. Jegs was easy to deal with the store and I picked the part up at their Delaware Ohio warehouse. I am thinking Derale/ US Motors is true to its name - made in US and more importantly has apparently better product testing and quality control than AC Delco. I will be seeking out Derale/US Motors parts in the future and glad Jegs carries their parts.
