It is gritty, it does not mix well, BUT it has 36% of the iron one needs a day. That is an amazing amount compared to other products out there. It's easy on the stomach and the digestive track , unlike all the iron supplements out there. If you have ever had to take iron supplements you know what I'm talking about. I blend it with all the high iron greens and this powder make this not so palatable drink great. It has been a lifesaver for me. I'm not very versed in protein powder because it's not really mine thing but as far as a great iron supplement, it is!!!!!!!

Compared to other brands. It is my first choice for price and quality. I have used it for years and prefer it to others that have fillers or added preservatives or additives. No aftertaste and blends easily in our shakes or in our vegetables for added protein.
