Pete the Cat - Deluxe Twinkle Twinkle Pete 14" Plush

I was sent this product in exchange for my honest review/opinion on what I think about it. Upon opening the Package and giving this Pete Cat Deluxe toy to my daughter who has just turned 4, her eyes lit up and she grabbed the box and wanted to take him out of the packaging immediately! She was super ecstatic and excited to receive a new plush toy to add to her collection of other plush toys. Now, mind you, we had no clue of who Pete the Cat was before receiving this toy, but my 4 yr old loved it like he was a character that she already knew about. This toy is a sleepy-eyed cat, dressed in cute blue and white striped pajamas. The detailing and stitching on this toy is actually very-well done and I can see this toy lasting for quite a long time with proper care. There is a little sound button on the inside of the plush, probably a little bigger than the size of a quarter. You press it, and it plays a soft sleepy-time tune (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star). There is only one tune that it plays, but it's still pleasant to listen too. It lasts maybe about 5 or 6 seconds before cutting off. If you are a parent that does not like loud toys then you'd be okay with your child pressing the tummy and playing the tune on this plush bc it is not too loud or annoying at all like many other toys on the market; which honestly, is a plus in my book! One thing that I think I would change about this Pete the Cat toy is maybe added a couple of more bed time tunes, and maybe a talking sleepy, yawning voice for the cat, to give it more personality, for more make-believe options for youngsters. Secondly, I think that it would had been wise to have added velcro on the back of Pete the Cat to make the sound button removable to wash the toy once it starts to get dirty. Since there was no velcro I would say you probably just have to clean him with a damp cloth. Other than that, this toy is great, and a wonderful option for those of you who have little ones who love plush toys!
