The study provides a comparison of quantity, expenditure and quality elasticities of household food consumption in Pakistan, worked out through a log-log inverse formulation of the Engel equation using the data collected at national level by the Federal Board of Statistics (FBS) in Pakistan Integrated Household Survey (PIHS) and Pakistan Social Living Measurement Survey (PSLM) during 2001 and 2005 respectively.
