The 60-degree pointed tapered end relieves tension, and the precise ball bearing design allows for smooth turning and offers more range of motion. The woodworking live center works with any unit that has a #1 morse taper (1MT) tail stock. Check your machine’s user manual for the tail stock taper size to know if 1MT is the correct size for your application. Using a center that is too small can be accommodated by using sleeves, but using a center that is too large can damage your workpiece. Tailstock centering tool comes packed inside a two-piece clear plastic protective covering case to ensure safety when not in use.
