If you see crystallization in your honey, there’s nothing wrong—it’s just a little cold. Put it in warm water to heat it up, then store or eat! Remember to never microwave; this can overheat the honey and accelerate the crystallization.

Just substitute sugar or your favorite low-calorie sweetener with raw honey from our convenient bottle. Follow these directions to easily replace sugar in your dishes:

Reduce any liquid called for by ¼ cup for each cup of honey used

Add ½ teaspoon of baking soda for each cup of honey used

Reduce oven temperature by 25°F to prevent over-browning

Hot Honey Cider

Ingredients:

1 medium orange, cut into 5 slices

2 quarts apple cider

½ cup honey

1 tsp. whole allspice

16 whole cloves

10 cinnamon sticks

Directions:

Cut 2 orange slices into quarters and set aside. Combine remaining orange slices, cider, honey, allspice, cloves and 2 cinnamon sticks in a 3 quart saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes. Stir well; pour into serving mugs; garnish each with a quarter of an orange slice and cinnamon stick.
