Very pleased with this Chromebook

I am really pleased with the features and technology from this HP Chromebook. I didn't have any issues whatsoever setting it up as the instruction sheet is very user-friendly and I already had a Gmail account to log in. The touch pad is large which I like, the keys are the perfect size for my quick typing and I purchased a mouse that connects well to the USB port. I don't have a printer hooked up to it yet but I read that the printer has to be Google cloud print compatible so I will look into it later. I took some pictures of my daughter with my camera and they easily downloaded to my Chromebook. To see them I figured two ways so the first was I went to the top task bar, select downloads, click more actions and click open downloads folder. The other way I went to settings, storage management and then click downloads. This Chromebook does come with a camera but I needed my small digital camera to take pictures of my daughter. There's so many features with this Chromebook. It comes with Google hangouts which is a free service that allows you to video chat (comes with built-in webcam)and make phone calls up to nine people at once. It comes with productivity apps - docs. sheets and slides. Free storage with the Google Drive storage for photos, videos and documents. Has Google Play Music and Spotify. There's thousands of free apps just open Chrome web store and take a look. Chromebook will keep your information safe with built in virus protection and multiple layers of security. I love the silver color, only weighs 3.74 lbs and is pretty quick to do any task. The battery power showed 92% and told me I had 8 hours left so I am very pleased with the battery life. I am a huge Chromebook fan and I highly recommend it!

HP 14" Chromebook is GREAT! Super Light and Thin!!

I am very happy with my HP 14-ak040wm 14" Chromebook, Chrome, Full HD IPS Display, Intel Celeron N2940 Processor, 4GB RAM, 16GB eMMC Drive. I am just using it so far for emailing and going on the internet. I am technologically challenged and it was very easy to use with the simple instructions after I got over my initial fear. Surprisingly simple. It's very compact, VERY light and thin so very portable. Top is white, bottom and inside chrome silver. I LOVE it!!!

Love this Chromebook

When I received this Chromebook I was looking forward to trying it out. I own a laptop, a desktop and have had tablets before but never a Chromebook. I have two granddaughters in different school districts and both of their schools use Chromebooks in different classes so I figured they might be great if used by schools to help educate students. After unboxing I began setting up the 802.11 wifi and email and since I already have a gmail account that part was done. I got the white model and it has white keys which look great and they are big enough that fat fingers are not a problem. It comes with a built in webcam and camera and both work great. Apps can be downloaded through chrome web store and there is are thousands to choose from. I am setting this up for my granddaughter to use so I downloaded U tube and Netflix and both work perfect with no buffering what so ever. Picture is beautiful with the 14" full hd ips display and 1920 x 1080 resolution. Navigating through chromebook is easy and has no lag time going from program to program. Chromebook also comes with built in virus protection and many layers of security. This chromebook has 4GB of memory and a 16GB eMMC drive. It has an Intel Celeron N2940 1.83 Hz prosessor and Intel HD video adapter and comes with Chrome OS 59.0 pre installed. It has a built in memory card reader for digital photography, a multitouch touchpad and 3 USB ports. It has an HDMI out port for connection to an HDTV. It is 13.6 wide by 0.7 high by 9.5 deep and weighs 3.5 pds. It also comes with a 1 year warranty with 12 months of tech support. I wish I had not waited so long to get a Chromebook.
