This is one of the best toasters I have ever owned, it is also the most expensive toaster I've ever purchased. Usually I'll spend $20 on the cheapest one but decided to get this mostly for my daughter to use. It looks beautiful and is definitely hi-tech. However I noticed right away that it does not have a digital timer or count down. It does have a type of timer function that indicates how long you have by moving a bar type design right next to where you put the number that indicates how dark you want your toast however it can take longer for certain sections to move so you can not tone it or know how much time you have left because it doesn't count by time it counts the level of darkness of your toast, so it really is useless. The other issue that I had with it is the right to heating elements when you pop your toes down it doesn't always stick so I have to do it quite a few times before it will go down and stay down where as the other side seamlessly does it so it must be more of an issue with the manufacturing of it or just human error. Everything else is pretty good. I think I was expecting more because of the price tag. I'm not used to paying that for a toaster. It looks fancy without really doing anything fancy. Because at the end of the day, it's a toaste
