Quality is the same as it used to be.

I don't love it. I purchased it to replace my last swingline (which I loved, but it some how got a knick in the blade) and this one doesn't hold a candle to it. They're the same size, but my previous one was much more stable, had a smoother surface and more gridlines. I trusted the Swingline name, I don't know that I'll do that again. I am so disappointed.

This one is worth trying

This paper cutter is wood not plastic so it feels sturdy and will hopefully last a long time. It cuts 20 and 60 lb paper cleanly. This cutter is replacing a decades old cutter with a dull blade and I was worried that it would be cheap, not good quality. I'm pleasantly surprised with its quality and sturdiness.
