Fine music and an interesting story.

The British brass band music, throughout, is extremely well played. One-piece, where the girl comes into play solo, is so good it may bring tears to your eyes. The story is of coal miners losing their pits in which to work and how they handle that. Yes, a love affair arises but it is the music that towers overall in this picture. Some delightful humor when the local women realize how young the girl is and decide they must support the band with their presence.
