Passion is precisely what this orange-red-blooming stunner evokes. Part of the True Bloom Roses series, the patented True Passion rose received the Pauline Merrell Award for Best Hybrid Tea at the 2016 Biltmore International Rose Trials and was named an A.R.T.S. Master Rose for 2018 by the American Rose Trials for Sustainability. True Passion's blooms are double flowers, 25+ petals, featuring a peppery fragrance. This Hybrid Tea Shrub has attractive green foliage and exhibits excellent resistance to black spot, powdery mildew, rust, and heat. Showcase in the garden and as a cut flower for table arrangements, well wishes, gifts, and more. Forms an upright growth habit, growing to 5 feet high to 3 feet wide. Dig a planting hole of 2 feet by 2 feet, with at least 3 feet of space between plants. Roses do best in a well-drained, loamy soil containing organic compost. Water thoroughly after planting and water three times per week after new growth. Plant where it will receive at least six hours of sunlight per day. Feed during spring and summer with a water-soluble 20-20-20 fertilizer. Prune in early spring to rejuvenate plant. Cold hardy to Zone 4.
