Himapro electric bobbin winder

For Himapro electric bobbin winder. i have a simplicity battery operated one but batteries are getting expensive so I wanted an electric one. This unit came with the thread stand and mounting screws included. Many others do not come with the thread stand even though they show it in their pictures! Again, this one does include the thread stand. It is made of mostly metal and is not plastic like my battery operated one. It has awesome speed. Watch you don't overfill your bobbins. If you do you may need to adjust a slide where the bobbin sets to prevent it. but very easy to do. The electrical cord is not very long, about 4 feet I think? But I do not find that an issue. It does come with mounting screws so you can mount it to a table or shelf if you want, but I haven't. It is just heavy enough being made of metal that it doesn't walk when winding bobbins. So yes I would recommend this bobbin thread winder.

Tips and tricks

Works well. I use my own tall thread stand when using cones to fill bobbins. I found that plastic bobbins tend to want to fly off the filling spindle, so I just put a finger gently on top of the bobbin to hold it in place until full.
