Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the computer for a month now. It's exceeded my expectations. Facial recognition is really cool. the computer is light, quiet, quick. Everything I could need. It's an excellent personal computer and so far it's done everything I need it to do.

Totally satisfied... a winner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially got the X1 tablet gen 3 but returned it due to issues with screen sensitivity. Then got this one which is a clear winner. I had also looked carefully at offerings from Dell, Samsung, Toshiba, and Microsoft (surface pro). While this is a more traditional format (no tablet mode, digital pen, nor detachable keyboard) the lightness and ruggedness/reliability fully meets my needs. While other offerings may have had some attractive aspects (like price) looking at reviews i was convinced that the Thinkpad line was much more rugged. I could easily see this in my office laptops (Dells vs. Thinkpads).

Continues the X1C legacy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third X1C in my household - I have a Gen 1, a Gen 7, and now a Gen 9. All in daily use (yep, even the Gen 1 - works perfectly except for battery life, so it mostly stays on my desk). Compared to the Gen 7, it's a little lighter, a little smaller, but everything good about it carries over. There's still no reason why I'd consider another machine. Ergonomics are perfect, it's fast and functional.
