Removed lingering musty smell!!!

There was a musty and dirty smell in the laundry basket that negatively effected the clothes stored inside for a few days. After one wash in warm water/warm rinse the smell lingered. So I washed again but the smell lingered but less. I washed everything one final time in warm water/warm rinse. It worked! The musty smell was gone! Some items made of knit needed another wash and rinse, but afterwards everything had no negative smell at all! I'm so grateful. Side note: I threw out the cloth laundry basket and bought a plastic one.
