Bought the 6-12 for my 6 month old (currently in size 4 diapers, with space to grow into) and it fits great with a disposable swim diaper underneath. It's the type required by our swim lessons place, but really loving having this (was going to get this brand regardless). It's our first experience with these but they look beautiful, fits really well, are easy to put on and off, and dry relatively quickly.

We've only worn it once so far, but the swim diaper is cute and my son hasn't complained about it. No poop yet, but I'm trusting it will do the job. Went on and came off easily. Side note: it fit well under a 12-18 month one-piece rash guard from Primary, if that helps make your decision.
