Very tasty
My favorite Compleats. I love the dressing. There is something a little crunchy which I like. A quick look at the ingredient list and it is water chesnut. It sounds weird and I am not a big opponent or proponent of texture, but it is absolutely wonderful to me. At first I thought there was something in there that shouldn't be in there, but it is a nice addition. Is this a five star restaurant entree? No, but it is much better than most of the MRE entrees I have eaten. Calling it complete even by misspelling it as Compleats is misleading. However, add a salad or vegetables and some fruit would help it to become part of a satisfying meal. One of these by itself is not enough for me, but two of these with nothing else gets me to my next meal. I am a big guy and I have an enormous appetite. For under $2.00 each delivered to my front door, I am very grateful. If you don't like these, don't eat anything for a couple days. Hunger may put things into perspective. I will be taking a few of these with me the next time I head up into the woods. I will put it in my pocket to keep it warm and perhaps place one in warm water. I am thinking that the seal integrity would survive to 130° F. Only some testing at home will provide that information.

The turkey & dressing hormel compleat was very good. I love how it took only 60 seconds to heat up and was enough to fill me for lunch. I would definitely buy this kind again and would recommend to any of my friends. Before this sampling opportunity i had heard of this brand but hadn't tried this kind yet.
Great Hot Meal In A Pinch
Shortly after Thanksgiving, we experienced a windstorm that caused a tree to fall into my house. While we were unharmed, the same cannot be said for my kitchen. Yes, it was the kitchen that took the brunt of the damage. For four months, I was "cooking" on a card table in my living room with a microwave and a slow cooker. Hormel Completes saved the day for easy hot meals to feed my family. Packaged as a single serving meal, the Turkey & Dressing was easy to prepare, just remove from cardboard packaging, peel back the plastic a bit to vent and microwave for one minute to ninety seconds (we had to microwave for 90 seconds because our microwave is lower powered) then let rest for a minute (I honestly don't know anyone who actually follows this step, we didn't). Carefully peeling off the rest of the lid reveals a nicely prepared hot meal. I found the Turkey & Dressing to be my favorite meal. While the texture of the dressing was slightly mushy, but I suspect this was due to the copious amounts of gravy in the meal and I was expecting this from a shelf stable "fresh" meal. The turkey was in patty form which was easy to cut up with a plastic spoon. After trying this meal in the Sampling Box I received, I purchased several more to help us get through 4 months without a kitchen. And, now that I have my kitchen back, I am keeping several in my pantry, just in case!
