In a sea of dry, tasteless GF bread options, this stands out as ahead of the curve in taste, texture, and the ability to be toasted and come out crispy on the outside while still moist on the inside. I prefer the Ancient Grain because it has 9 healthy whole grains and a hint of molasses which deepens the flavor. The white bread and rolls are also good. As with just about all of the GF breads, Canyon Ranch is best toasted. It is, however, one of the only brands where you can make a sandwich fresh from the package and it is okay. My one suggestion would be to make the slices as large as traditional sliced loaves, especially since we have to pay significantly more. For kids older than 10 years or any adult, two Canyon Ranch sandwiches are equivalent to just one average sized wheat bread sandwich.

I like this bread if you have to eat gluten free, it is not great when compared to fresh baked wheat bread. However I gave it a low quality rating because Walmart oftentimes fills my online order with already expired Canyon Bakehouse Bread! This was the case the last two or three times I ordered it. Expired products, especially bread, should be removed from the shelves and Walmart shoppers should be trained to pay more attention to expiration dates!
