I'm not sure about the durability of the material it's made from, if it were used to carry textbooks with any significant weight. There is a coating applied to the underside of the material (inside), which gave off vapors upon opening. I left it open in another room for 24 hours and it seems to have dissipated. I really like the camo and orange, with the green. It's sewn together well. The straps and zippers are good.
