The rich, berry taste is a blend between black currant and gooseberry flavorful,- - sweet and satisfying. Pleasant aftertaste, too. Fruits are abundant starting early July usually the second year. Glossy round berries are firm, plump, and just loaded with vitamin C juice. Far north plantings showed absolutely no dieback after temps to 40 below zero. Immune to, or lives with most major pests. Resists white pine blister rust, powdery mildew, gall mites. Glossy dark green leaves are ornamental well into fall. Very vigorous.
