Instructions
Lentils are a natural agricultural product. Despite use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Examine, sort and rinse lentils before cooking. Lentils require no soaking in a large pot. **Stovetop - From Ambient ** For 1 lb. of lentils (about 2 cups) add 6-8 cups hot water. Simmer gently with lid fitted until desired tenderness is reaches, about 25 to 30 minutes.
