We decided to put them a few feet from the far left and far right corners of the front of our home since the strong and sturdy aluminum material stands up to outdoor conditions. The up and down illumination increases visibility around our yard and driveway with soft non-glare LED lighting. We used a licensed electrician, and installation went quickly with the included parts (light fixtures, EVA gaskets, screws, and wiring nuts) and the simple plain-English installation instructions. All parts were carefully and smoothly finished. Overall, we are delighted with the quality, attractive design and usefulness. I recommend them to complement any style home, with the added benefit of no lightbulbs to replace and a noticeable savings in energy costs.
