clogged black water tank

I initially bought this item to insert a "snake" into the water inlet opening and remove a clog from a permanently set up RV without causing any/minimal spillage. After receiving the Camco Dual Flush Pro, I discovered that I would have to destroy the unit to achieve this concept. The water inlet tapers down and is attached to a selection knob. This configuration would not allow me to insert a snake. Instead, I decided to shut off the valve and fill the tank with water causing the pressure to dislodge the clog. It took about 6 times of doing this before the clog and tank was completely emptied, drained, and clear water was flowing out. Within an hour, the RV was fully operational again. The only other practical option I had, so no spillage occurred, was taking the RV off blocks and take the RV to a dealership that could drain the sewage in it. This device saved me over 400 dollars. Thanks.

Great in the right situation

The idea of how this device works is very good and its build seems to be well thought out. I could not wait to go camping and give it a whirl (pun intended). The first time I went to use it. I in countered a set back that made this useless at least for that trip. Though it is not this devices fault ...the dump station did not have ANY way to connect a regular water hose up to attach to this... They had a small hook shaped end that was un removable on their water supply. There was NO WAY to supply water to this, at that sanitation station. I just hope that was an exception and not the rule, or I wont be getting much use out of this Great device. One word of caution on using this that I discovered during practice before my trip. When You supply water to this.... make sure one valve is open!! If You leave all three valves closed (its valve and both Your waste and grey water drains, when turning on the water...Then it will build pressure and explode. Either have a open path for the incoming water to go ...or MAKE SURE... You have this devices water inlet turned to the OFF position on this device!!!! Before turning on the water hose!!!! Simple caution will prevent this newbie (like Me) problem from occurring!! Made a very loud bang with water spewing everywhere.(blew a gasket literally).... and very wet practice .. LOL.. Happy Camping!!

Within the last year we bought a new camper that has a interior flush system, however still had issues with the black tank reporting at some level. We bought this and flush from top and bottom and no longer have that issue. The clear plastic allows you to see when it is flushed clear. While we may spend a couple of extra minutes at the dump station, it is well worth it. It has a powerful jet of water that helps clean your tank from the bottom.
