OVERVIEW
The Toyo Observe GSi-5 is a touring, winter tire manufactured for passenger and crossover vehicles and SUVs.
The tire promotes great winter weather traction. The special winter compound keeps its flexibility in the coldest temperatures, while the directional tread designs detailed pattern upgrades the road gripping capability. The tread features a high-density 3D spiderweb pattern sipes that increase the number of biting edges on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. The tread blocks have sawtooth-like edges that firmly grip onto ice and snow. The treads wide lateral and circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tires footprint. This model was made with Toyos special MicroBit technology, which places crushed walnut shells into the tread compound that grip and bite into ice on the roads, to ensure a safer winter performance. The tire received the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol that indicates its capability to handle severe winter weather.
The Observe GSi-5 is also easily controlled. The treads continuous center rib, with the detailed siping design and optimized notch placement, enhances the models controllability. It improves the road contact to boost the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The stable and precise control enables the driver to confidently drive their vehicle even in harsh winter conditions. The tires shoulder tread block placement enhances the number of biting edges gripping the road during cornering and maneuvering. In this manner, the tires cornering and maneuvering capability ensures security. The high-density siping detail and sawtooth tread block edges grip the road surface and create friction at the moment of braking. As a result, the braking distance is significantly shortened and the model promotes a safer winter weather driving experience.
