[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this dryer was designed with me in mind. As a busy mom, the less time spent on household chores, the better. This dryer has a large capacity that enables me to complete the process more efficiently; I can clean more in less loads.
The dryer itself is unique in that it makes a minimal amount of noise. I've honestly returned to my laundry room on more than one occasion to double check that I've turned it on because it so quiet in comparison to its predecessor. This facet helps concerning when I can run the machine. My laundry room is on the second story of my home, adjacent to my children's rooms. I previously opted to limit my laundry to daytime hours to avoid disturbing the kids' sleep schedules. This dryer has helped to eliminate that anxiety, allowing me to do laundry when it's most convenient for me i.e. nighttime.
Apart from its volume, this machine covers another base as relates to children by providing a child lock. There is nothing quite as frustrating as a kid stopping a load mid-cycle for you to discover hours later at which point you may as well run it through the washing machine a second time before returning the contents to the dryer. That is now a thing of the past and I couldn't be more pleased.
I also respect how this dryer was made to seamlessly integrate into my life. Not only is its use easy and straightforward, there are no lack of options available to customize the method it employs to clean clothes depending on what the load calls for (including steam!). As if that wasn't enough, the dryer also utilizes a sensor to evaluate and estimate the amount of time needed for the completion of the cycle. It even reevaluates and readjusts at different stages to reflect the ETA on the clothes. That means when the alarm sounds, you can trust that everything is dry.
As if it wasn't enough that this dryer has a sleek, modern design that pairs beautifully with the accompanying washer, the door can be opened in one of two ways: from the side or from the top. I've never seen that in a dryer before and I love it! Plus, I'll never complain about a light in the drum. As I mentioned, I prefer to do laundry at night.
Last, but not least, this is a smart machine that is easily incorporated into the routine. I now have the luxury of managing my dryer from the palm of my hand. I can start/stop the machine remotely with the touch of a button. I can even manage via my Google Home. This is a new age!
I absolutely love my pair of LG appliances and I am never going back!
