Oral-B Toothbrush, Pro 5000 Smartseries Power Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth Connectivity - Black

This is my second Oral-B electric toothbrush purchase. I needed to replace my 6000 model purchased ten years ago due to the battery no longer charging. After reading the reviews on the multitude of Oral-B toothbrushes now available, I wanted to avoid the most glaring problem that I never experienced with the 6000, and that was the mold/mildew issue associated with the internal connection between the brush head and the power unit. After much research, I found that the 5000 had the old internal design and brush head that did not cause the mold/mildew issue. The Oral-B does a fabulous job of thoroughly cleaning all of the teeth in your mouth as verified by continuously good dental appointment outcomes. The staff at the dental office where I purchased my first Oral-B recommended that to ensure the longest possible battery life, do not keep the device on a continuous charge. Let the device run down the battery charge to the battery warning and then recharge. This advice worked, as my 6000 lasted ten years and I hope for the same with my new 5000.

This has the better of the two battery options Oral-B offers which gets you 14 days of use in a single charge. It's not the quietest, but I love that it has heads that can be replaced for less money than the newer, quieter models. There are 6 different brush modes; the Smart 5000 I'm replacing only had 5. Nifty base for multiple heads, Bluetooth compatibility and a great BF sale price and I think this is the best value in the Oral B electric brush lineup.
