Like all the other types of cosmos flowers, it is a snap to grow from seed. If you plant cosmos in the Spring after frost season you will have big blooms from midsummer right up until frost. Also called Mexican Aster, Cosmos are good in hot conditions, but they perform best with some regular waterings. They perform well in soils that are lean and drain well. No need to fertilize these flowers. They're incredibly adaptable. Scatter seeds in spring after frost danger has passed onto prepared, weed-free soil. Keep soil and seeds moist until germination.
