Arrived in cardboard box with minimal thin brown paper wrapped around case. Wasn't sure what to expect when I opened the case but everything was intact without cracks. It's a heavy set of tiles and the case is almost scary to carry using the thin handle. I will be replacing it soon and knew that when I purchased this set. The tiles are nicely done and the images have nice sharp borders. I have the green version and looks even better in person. They feel like a nice size and have no trouble standing or stacking. As for the material they are made of. Well if I tap 2 together it's like a premium plastic sound and feel. These would never be confused with porcelain and doesn't quite have the sound and feel of professional domino material. Overall I'm happy with the set and would recommend.
