ASUS TUF Gaming F17 Gaming Laptop, 17.3" FHD, Intel Core i7-11800H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Eclipse Gray, Windows 10 Home, TUF706HM-ES76

My first Asus computer G73, I purchased in June 2011. It is still working satisfactory but boot up, opening files and shut down are slow incl WiFi probably bc of age related old configuration not handling the 2021-2022 software. I do not game. In 2016 I purchased another Asus Q534UX, 15.6 inch with 4K screen. Wow, a great computer. Still works very well. This review written on that pc, March 2022 I purchased a replacement for the 11 year old G73, a F17 TUF 17 inch. Setup went well. The computer is much lighter than the G73. Very fast configuration. My only negative comments are two fold. 1. The screen, especially text is not as sharp as the other 2 Asus computers. A bit woolly. 2. Windows 10 and now 11 act weird. My wife's bookmarks on her 2 Dells show up in Firefox and Edge on my new computer. Thumbnail desktop shortcuts are weird. Suddenly I had a full folder of documents and sub folders on my desktop screen. Very annoying to see them all. After 5 hours of trying to remove the shortcuts (if I deleted the shortcuts, the files deleted also from C drive) contrary that should not, never happen. Never experienced this behavior. I think its the home network share properties which need fixing even though my home network since 2007 was not problematic. I hope MS gets a update to stop this action share network easier than today. I am happy with the computer. I will install 32mb ram this afternoon. I hope that goes satisfactory. Asus is a great choice of laptops. Shop wisely.
