My shoe size is 7.5. In Merrell, I take a 7.5 if my all toes fit straight on the sole, otherwise I take an 8. So I usually have to try the two sizes. Those shoes were no exception. In this case, as there's plenty of room in the toe box, I took the 7.5. The 8 didn't fit well even with thicker socks because the shoes are wide all over and my feet were not stable. But in other models, like the Antora model, size 8 fits me better. So it depends. I need shoes that keep my big toe straight otherwise my toe hurts. I also need a rather rigid sole. These shoes fit the bill. They're very lightweight and make my feet look smaller. I'm happy to have found leather shoes to protect a little bit from the rain and the wind. These shoes are comfortable right out of the box, they make walking springier and easier. I like the lacing system because it's fast. The support is perfect for high arches. I use these shoes as all purpose shoes, to walk around and do some light hiking.

These are wonderful shoes, in fact the only shoes I wear year round except my sandals. So why have you stopped making them in wide width? I have 2 pairs currently in use and one new pair in reserve. I wish I had a few more pairs on hand for when my current pairs give out as I can't find anything else that fits as well. Please bring back wide widths!
