Excellent tools set for Device Repair

This is an excellent tool set for device repair technicians. Wiha tools are extremely well made and will last for many years if used appropriately. The set is well designed. I purchased this set for each of my technicians.

Best on the market

This is absolutely the best bit set you can buy. It contains everything that's practical; bits that you'll actually use. I've also had another Wiha driver set where the bits are stored in retaining ring around the barrel of the driver. The plastic is light, but not cheap. Do not make the mistake of thinking that good must be heavy. It's an anti-static polymer. The cap spins and permits easy one-handed use. The metal case is sturdy. The arrangement inside the box is very space efficient. The bits are hands down the most precise with the least play and significantly better metallurgy than the crap sold by others. Anyway, the plastic won't break; it's not cheap. Also, you need to consider the size of the screw and how much force is too much before you shear the fastener or strip the head. The diameter of the driver is just big enough to assist you to remove or secure your fasteners without applying too much force and damaging them. Think about this a moment. Why is an electricians #3 or #4 Phillips so big? Because you can apply more force, which is required. Same concept, but reversed for small bits and screws. Anyway, I've had the bits for years and pack them daily. The smaller set without the box stays in my bag. I have fixed many small electronics devices and not once has a problem with damage to bits or screws. The esd safe driver has held up flawlessly too. Every single person that I loan my bit-set to immediately says they are amazing and asks about them. The reason that I wrote all of this is that mostly people write reviews based on first impressions and not experience. It irritates me when I see something thoughtless in a review that impacts others. This is not a cheap quality tool. If you treat it like you should, you'll never need to replace it unless you lose it or somebody steals it. I am embarrassed to say how many tools I have purchased from Wiha. I own and have used SnapOn, MAC, Craftsman (before China), Klien, Wera, & Wiha. I was also in aviation maintenance for a decade and used good tools. Sticking only to apples for apples comparison with what Wiha retails, you cannot beat the quality in today's world. And at their Pricepoint, there isn't a comparison. I've been young and purchased cheap tools both because of budget and urgency. I've always had to replace those tools for one reason or another so in the end, it wasn't cheaper. Buy the set. It's quality and anybody that says otherwise is not using it for the intended purpose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really nice micro screwdriver set from WIHA. Driver is handy and easy to use. Tips are very sharp and well defined. I've put some pressure on a few and see no deformation or damage to them thankfully. BUT, that half a star comes from the case. I like the steel case but it needs to be a hair bigger. Mine hangs up on the first row of bits opening and closing. So they get a good sharp scuff every time I open and close it and it's a little bit of a pain. Other than that I really like it.
