We now buy our bread from our grocery store's bakery section unsliced as an unsliced loaf stays fresh much longer than presliced. I was skeptical after seeing this knife come in first place on America's Test Kitchen when they tested bread knifes. But wow; What a difference between this one and our old bread knife. This one glides through bread like a hot knife through butter. It's a pleasure to use and the cuts are so clean and sharp. I just can't say enough nice things about it.

Good Sturdy Blade That Loves Bread as Much as I Do

This is a great bread knife. It does not tear homemade loaves, and glides like butter through the bark of crusty bread. The plastic handle felt a little cheap at first, but for the price, it's well shaped, and it works just fine. I always hand wash my sharp knives, so could not tell anyone about whether or not it was dishwasher safe.

It comes wicked sharp and has stayed that way. It makes cutting clean slices of hard, crunchy, crusty, bread much easier. So this is definitely a good knife to get if you want to make your cutting tasks easier.
