Perfect helmet for my granddaughter!

I purchased this for my growing granddaughter. It's the only helmet she uses (she even uses it when she rides her bike). She loves it, and we love that it's very easy to clean - it has a washable liner and you can just wipe off the outside. Some of its great features include the low-profile design and full coverage. I highly recommend it for a growing child because it has a DialFit System. The system is very easy to use and makes it easy to adjust it to fit her changing head. I love the Purple Boho color for a child, and it also comes in Black for showing.

Nice dial system

I bought this for my 5 yr old son who has a round head. The dial system is great because it allows for the helmet to adjust with growth, but I notice it seems to fit a bit "high" on his head compared to other brands. This could just be his head shape and the helmet shape. It has a feature inside that allows you to "add padding" by folding down a pad, which is also nice.

Buy the Intrepid or Rebel instead!!

The Troxel Spirit has a very uncomfortable "dial" adjustment in the back. It digs into the back of you head, especially with a ponytail. The Intrepid and Rebel have "SureFit™ Pro," which is sort of a sling that cups your head. I was skeptical at first, it doesn't really sound like is should work, but it totally does! At least 10x more comfortable than the dial, and you don't have to adjust it. It even has a ponytail port where the dial is on the Spirit. I feel like Troxel should discontinue the dial and use the vastly superior sling in all helmets. This "chin" strap on this helmet is also placed very far back, making it more of a throat strap that chokes you if you get it anywhere close to tight. Also, I think this is true of all Troxel helmets, but the chin strap is really excessively long. Nobody has that huge of a chin/throat! (Yes, you could cut it, but then you have to seal and possibly sew it.) I already had a Troxel Rebel I was very happy with, but I wanted the purple color. I'm definitely going to stick with the Rebel, clashing colors or not! (I haven't tried the Intrepid, but I believe it has the superior Rebel system.)
