WD_BLACK 500GB SN750 SE NVMe™ SSD Battlefield™ 2042 PC Game Code Bundle - WDBB9J5000ANC-NRSN

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Western Digital black SN750 se NVMe SSD is one of the best SSD I have tested, at first look the black head sink looks amazing, I have used it for about a week and can't find a more suitable replacement for my desktop. I tested this SSD by installing windows 10 and windows 11, in windows 10 the boot time was incredible I was replacing an old SSD I had, the old one was booting up in about 43 seconds so I was impressed to see this drive booting up in 28 seconds, by running the WD_BLACK SSD Dashboard I was able to get the boot time down to 16 seconds, not that was exactly what I was looking for, the speed of the drive was incredible even writing and reading multiple files (about 1GB per file) I was able to get a steady 3000 MB/s, mind you it was running on the highest settings the included Dashboard software, one thing I found is that it heats up to about 60 Celsius so I was a little worried about testing it on my laptop, but after tweaking around the software I was able to get stable to 45 Celsius. Now let's talk about the gaming performance. I was amazed at the speed this drive work with games, I was able to install and old game just to test how fast this drive can be, so I tested it with Crysis, and the speed of the SSD was so good that I was able to run the game on a big 55' inch LED with a steady 60 FPS, now after that I was intrigued by the SSD so I went ahead and tested to see how fast it could go, so I went ahead and played a few other games Minecraft and a few other minor games like Timeshift and Legacy of Kain Defiance which is not really up to date after that I went ahead and went for a more up to date game like Back 4 Blood and it was running really good, giving me a much better performance that I was expecting. After a few hours of game play I went ahead and installed a fresh copy of windows 11, now this OS seems to work better that the win 10 giving me a boot time of 11 seconds after setting up the included Dashboard, I was really happy with this SSD and I actually called my buddies and told them to by one ASAP In the end I decided to use this SSD on my laptop and the results are about the same it was giving me on my high performance PC, now my laptop is not meant for gaming so I just did a few tests just to find myself with the same performance it gave me on my read and write test. Overall I really loved this drive I just ordered a few more cause it's amazing how the new 3D NAND technology really makes a difference.
