70 LB PROFESSIONAL BROADCAST SPREADER
I like the sturdy construction of this spreader. The height of the handle and the inflatable tires makes it very easy to push and control. My one disappointment is the lever with 4 settings as mentioned in the previous review. The lever starts at 1/2 inch increments making the dispensing gate opening too large for lawn fertilizer. I honestly believe this spreader was designed for winter salt. As an Mechanical Engineer, I did modify the lever to open at 1/8 inch increments and works ok now. With modification this spreader dispenses a 5 ft. wide pattern of fertilizer evenly. Maybe I will order another style lever from the 50 lb model.
