These do the job

The soft wash brushes are very soft, and haven't held their shape, but they are great for washes, so that's OK. The flats and small detail brushes are holding their shape well, and I use them with acrylics, which is hard on them. They still snap back nicely. I got some other value brushes, and I've had to paint the wood, as their paint flaked right off. So, I can't even tell you their name to avoid them. You'd think a company in the business of supplying painting items could find a better paint.

Fundamentals #5 Brush Set

THESE BRUSHES ROCK! The flats are cut even, good round points and great spring. I teach Watercolor Workshops in Public Schools. Fabulous endurance from 5th grade to high school students' use and abuse. Students experience a good brush and improved painting results. Just don't let em soak in water, air dry when wet, and they will last a long time.

Good student brushes for a very good pri

(Headline should read "price".) I purchased these brushes for my adult students to use for water-soluble graphite and watercolor pencils. They are an excellent value. They hold water well, maintain a point and are pretty durable. These are excellent brushes for children, students or someone just starting to learn to paint.
