We had been looking for a portable product to a crib for our 2-year old to sleep in when away from home. The Delta Children 36" x 36" Play Yard, Fun in the Jungle is a great option. And it packs up into a space-saving approximately 9”x9”x35” rectangle that fits just about anywhere. The first thing we noted about the Play Yard is its big bold brightly colored animal characters adorning the trim and bottom pad. The sides of the play yard are made of a fine mesh screen fabric that is mostly transparent. You won’t have your child hooking toes in the mesh and climbing out! Molded and/or plastic covers insure no fingers will be caught in the hinges in the middle of the rails and on the corners when folding and unfolding. The top rails are covered and nicely padded to avoid accidents when the little one’s balance fails. The bottom of the unit is covered with a combined floor and pad which doubles as a hard shell when packed up for moving and storage. With all the appropriate safety considerations in mind, it might be a bit more comfortable for your child to sleep with another layer of padding added. Safety features include hook-and-loop connections for pad to bottom of play yard plus eight hook-and-loop patches that secure the pad and floor in place It’s not light. Would not want to plan on carrying a child and this at the same time for any distance. Very sturdy frame construction. Setting it up for the first time without reading instructions was mostly intuitive. Hint: Opening and assembling the yard on a hard floor is much easier than on carpet. Disassembly for packing is simple, once the “button” on the top rails is located. Our little one loves it.

I received this item for free in the exchange for my honest opinion. I got this item for my niece. The setup was real simple and easy. So is the take down. Therefore, transporting this playard from one place to another is real easy and simple. The playard also comes with a bag to put it in and store the playard in. It is like a backpack so therefore, when it is not in use, you can put it in the bag and store it someone in a closet. It doesn't take up a lot of space when it is in the bag either. You can either stand it up or lay it down. However, it would be great if it came with a bar to hand some toys on that the baby could reach for or like one of those mobile things but it does not have to be mobile. It can be a automatic one that you have to use your hands to turn it on your own or something. Not only that, my niece loves this playard. She can freely move around and it keeps her in one place instead of wondering where she is and what she's doing. I can keep her and all her toys in one place and continue to do what I need to do. I highly recommend this product and it also great for taking naps in as well.
