Zipper problem

Very nice boot but zipper is incredibly difficult to pull up and down. I bought these because I didn't want to deal with shoe laces, but it is nearly unusable. Will be returning.

These boots are good for winter since they are warm and the soles are aggressive for snow and ice and are waterproof. The are a bit large for my 7 1/2 Med foot, but not enough to order a size down. I can always fill up a little space with socks. I had to tighten the laces and double tie them as they are quite long. My only complaint is that they are a bit difficult to zip up - I love this design" a zipper with a laced shoe so I don't have to always tie them. But I have a very bad back (going in for major surgery) and my husband will have to help me zip them. I'm hoping the zippers will break in a little and become easier to zip over time.
