Foot slides resulting in toe pain

The insole of the boot is quite comfortable. The cloth upper is flexible and soft. However, I find any Bzees boots with a stacked heel are impossible to walk in. I bought the correct size with a thumb width between my toe and the end of the boot. However, every time I take a step my foot slides forward and my big toe jams against the end of the boot. I have had other stacked heel boots in different brands that did not do this. I am not sure if it is the angle or that the insole is very smooth with zero grip, but needless to say jamming my toe makes the boots unwearable.
