Walmart deception.

the item took over a month to arrive. Walmart told me it was lost so I ordered the item from another vendor, then the item arrived on the 23rd of December and walmart charged my card for it and stated that they did so because I didn't return the item by the 23rd of December!! How can I return an item that i didn't receive until the day they wanted it back!!
