I bought 3 of these rugs about 6 months ago. 2 smaller (in front of stove and refrigerator) ones and one larger one in front of kitchen sink. I decided recently that I would like another larger one in front of the stove. I got it a few weeks ago. Yes I can tell the newer one from the older ones but I just put the newer one in front of the sink where it isn't in plain view with the others. These wash up well and stains come out easily. The rubber backing, so far, has stood up multiple washing and drying. I would buy again.
