For the price, excellent quality product, strong and durable. I initially purchased a cheaper product, which broke upon first use. (Mallets of poor quality and balls too heavy) You get what you pay for!

This set is the one to buy!
I searched all over, went to two big sports stores, looked at some of the big online sellers and could not find anything near satisfactory--unless I was willing to spend $ 1500. Luckily, I looked at these on Hayneedle and gave it a try based on the description of the mallets. The set arrived quickly, and it was as described--a real croquet set--substantial mallets with metal to metal shaft to head screws--not wood to wood. The heads are substantial and the balls are heavy. (This sounds perverted, doesn't it?) Anyhow, by far the best croquet set I have ever seen and such a great value!

Best Croquet Set I've ever played with.
Very good value for money. Far better quality than other 'cheaper' sets on the market. The Brass fittings ensure that the mallets don't loosen (like their wood-threaded counterparts). The length of the handles are perfect for adults. I'm not a professional player, so I can't compare this set to ones that cost several hundred dollars. However, as a casual player, I really love the sleek look - feels like a premium product.
