Wonderful!

Who hasn't heard the words 'Twas the night before Christmas', and how many times have you read them out loud? Now, there's another enchanting poem to read to your little ones, but it focuses on Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus's story, from His birth to His Ascension, is told by author Donna Wyland, and she uses the same rhyming rhythm that Clement C. Moore used in his famous A Visit from St. Nicholas. 'Twas the Night Before Jesus explains all that happened during the thirty-three years of Jesus's life, and the text and illustrations are especially appealing. Children will love reading Wyland's words and they'll also enjoy the fun, colorful illustrations by Courtney Smith. I highly recommend 'Twas the Night Before Jesus, and I hope that it will become a new Christmas classic. Children need to be aware of the true reason for this season of celebration, and this is a book that should be in both home and church libraries! I received a copy of this book from the author via Celebrate Lit. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.
