I saw some reviews on another site about this not being able to be mounted except on metal and that it was difficult to set up. Neither of these are true! It comes with a metal mounting plate and has a strong magnet, so you can mount it anywhere that you can screw a metal plate about the size of an old silver dollar. You could also just bypass the plate and stick it to anything metal. Setup was a breeze for me. I have 3 different wifi devices and this was the easiest and quickest to setup by far. It took me hours to set up a name brand camera a few years ago. This one took like maybe 5 minutes. Do NOT scan the QR code in the manual for the app! I did that and it took me to their site wanting my credit card info. This had me worried and a bit upset. I was ready to return it, but decided to try the other option of just installing the app from Google Play Store. The app only has like a 3.4 rating for some reason, but I don't understand why. The Arpha App I installed from Google Play worked very well for me. There are a lot of tweaks you can go in and set, like turning the image upside down if you were to mount it on a ceiling or something. It has just as many features as the name brand cam app I have. Just take your time and play around. As for the setup, when you first add a device, you want to select "Camera %26 Lock." The book calls it something different that isn't an option anymore. Then you select "Smart Camera (WiFi) near the top. The it will walk you through the setup process. It keeps saying "Reset device" on each screen but just ignore it and keep clicking next until you get to the place you logon your wifi network. If your router does not have 2.4 G wifi this camera probably won't work. That was an issue I had with my older cams. I have AT%26T with both 5G and 2.4G. Setup (or my router) automatically chose 2.4G for me. I didn't do anything but enter my wifi password. continue through the process until you get to where a QR code is displayed on the app. You want to hold the camera about 6 to 7 inches away for the camera to scan it. That was pretty much it! I ordered a 2 pack and unplugged the first cam and set the second one up just as easily. I noticed the first cam got slightly warm, but I was testing the 2 way audio and different things that may have caused it. I noticed later when I wasn't using the audio it had cooled back down. It didn't get alarmingly hot or anything, just a little warmer than I thought it should. That could be normal for all I know. Anyway under normal camera usage it didn't happen again. The camera was a bit smaller that I expected, which is probably a good thing. Who wants a grapefruit size cam anyway. It seems very well made. The power adapter seemed to be of very good quality also, not like the flimsy dollar store ones. I rate the quality, app, setup and everything a solid 5. For the money you are not going to beat it. It is a 3 mega pixel camera. Don't expect 54 mega pixel images. For 3mp the images are fantastic!

These cameras are great. I use them to watch the feral cats I took in. The cats look like they're sleeping, but the minute i leave the room.... These cameras work perfectly. I've already recommended them to two other people and now they're going to get them. You can't beat the price and the quality is very good.
