Great motor- Anchor sucks

I own an Ultrex, 60" 36v, MEGA DI & iPilot Link. The trolling motor is spectacular. Electronic anchor is HORRIBLE & that's giving it praise. Within the 1st few days out, I was tying a knot, set the electronic anchor and tied. THUMP. It stopped anchoring, turned off, spun & I hit a dock. Boat damage now though minor (smudged stripes are forever though) MinnKota released electronic anchors prematurely & has not fixed them in years. There are 3 year old reviews that have the same issue as me: Anchor it & watch it lose position and then spin until the cable is wrapped around the shaft & can't spin any longer. So, I asked the dealer who explained it happens when satellites are lost: BS!! I write software for a living. The logic is: "I'm the trolling motor & I beep when 1st turned on & auto pilot or anchoring is attempted because I am still trying to get a 2d or 3d satellite connection, so I beep a few times" This logic is in place. What needs to be done by MinnKota is something like this: "I'm the trolling motor & I lost my satellite connection, so I'll either beep or keep beeping so everyone know something just changed with me" This logic is in sorely missing. Instead, supposedly the motor just keeps spinning I already had a snapped cable & warranty claim because I had to use the foot pedal, stop the forced spinning (cables were already taut) and get it back on track. 3k for a motor? 2k for a motor? By now, this should be very polished considering other reviews describe exactly what I am 3 Y E A R S ago now I expect "stuff" to work when I buy it and MinnKota does not have a working product here.
