rustic Cedar

When it comes to outdoor staining (no matter a deck, siding ect) you MUST take in consideration your area of ware & tare weather conditions that will be working against your project "post" finish.. 2. doing the correct procedure of prep ( that's needed for YOUR patcular projects situation) getting the correct surface prior to topcoats... 3. using the smartest product that best fits your situation.. a semi-solid is for more weathered situsations - 80+ sun - north - eastern Climates.. hate when i read negitive reviews of how the stain is peeling - didn't hold up ect... the correct procedure and product is everything.. semi-solid is ONE COAT ONLY.. this will save you from flake if your surface was correct status.. shoukld not flake when ready for recoat

Easy application, good uptake, looks superb

Built a large deck for our home last summer. All pressure treated pine from local home center in Raleigh area of NC. Used an Olympic deck cleaner on it a couple of weeks ago (avoid pressure washing a deck, or go very lighttly). I used a pump sprayer for that, let it sit 12-15 minutes and hosed it off well. Let the deck dry for a couple of weeks. After the last rain, I made sure to wait a few days and started applying product in late afternoon as sun went down and humidity dropped. BINGO - that is how it's done. The product was easily absorbed and had virtually no brush stroke evidence. I used a thick staining brush, ensuring to get in between the boards. This "natural" Woodland Oil looks tremendous -- the way I feel deck would should look. Will follow up with photos. Read the negative reviews carefully. If you learn how and when to prep the wood and how to apply the product, you will be able to catch the issues in those reviews. For example, going back over this one-coat application IS likely to make a tacky surface. Why? Because it's doing its job and preventing "coat two" from being absorbed!

Woodland Clear

Powerwashed my deck for first time in 4 years. Was able to remove all dirt & mold without any chemicals. This was my first time staining & sealing my deck. It was a relatively easy process would have regretted paying someone $$$ for something I could do myself easily. I did use more than anticipated due to the wood being very dry and absorbing the liquid very quickly. Will use it again on my front steps and recommend it to my friends.
