Great book

A gut-punch of a book in some ways. Darker than Lonesome Dove, but I think I might even like it better. It reminds me a lot of the Dune Messiah follow-up to Dune. Loved the exploration of family, duty, aging, and evil. It was also a lot of fun having the real Goodnight and references to Loving pop up in the novel as well.
