Round Planter is a lightweight alternative to its heavier counterparts in the planter world. It's crafted with three layers: an insulated EPS (expanded polystyrene) core composed of unpolluted, 100% solid polyurethane and polurea; a resin-bonded, waterproof decorative finish; and a clear water-based hardener/sealer that will lose its sheen after three to six months and develop a beautiful, natural patina. If you wish, you can apply a clear sealant to or completely repaint the exterior every six to 10 years – the shell of the planter itself won't break down or fail. Plus, because Poly-Stone's Poly-Crete material doesn't involve solvents, you won't have to worry about air pollutants or harmful environmental contaminates in this lightweight planter – only lush green plant life. Featuring a UV protection coat that prevents fading, this lightweight planter resists mold, mildew, stains, and sea spray salt, plus it can be used year-round, as it withstands outdoor exposure from -30 to 130 degrees F.
